Verizon family plan question? ?

my old phone broke so i recently purchased a new one. do i need the person who actually owns the plan to be there when i get it activated, iam just one of the exra lines.

i believe you do. verizon sucks though. poor customer service & phones. good luck with yours. i finally got out of my contract. glad to have a iphone
