Question:

Very Bad Dentist=Malpractice?

I was going to a dentist for about 3 years due to 4 years of not doing so and because of that, I had toothaches. So anyways, I had always had suspicions of this dentist because she never did a good job in installing mercury fillings. I still had remaining spots of cavities that she neglected to drill off. Overtime, she drilled much of my tooth surface until it was hollow inside. Recently my tooth on the side (unfortunately almost at the front) collapsed as I was chewing!!!! It was one of the tooths that had a mercury filling inside. No wonder that dentist office no longer exists. I'm guessing someone had sued her for malpractice and neglecting ppl's teeth because she wanted money for each crappy a** repair.

  1. You don't say when this happened?  Maybe it was before new white fillings and maybe those amalgam fillings have a limited life too.  Also, you honestly can't say that it was the dentist's fault that you neglected your teeth and needed treatment, or that they were prone to problems in the first place.  It is good you have posted this as it is good to remind people to get a second opinion if you think the dentist is not treating all the decay etc. and you are not sure about the treatment.  Maybe the dentist moved or had kids or some other reason for not being their any more.  Did you try looking her up on the Internet?  I can understand your anger, but maybe there is more to it?  Did the new dentist agree with you?  Good luck.  At least there are nice white fillings and good cosmetic dentistry today.

  2. i totally agree that is 100% malpractice!what kind of dentist is that?!UNLESS she went to a very low dental school that passed her for every class she failed, thats got to be malpractice. i would track her down and sue her if i were you.
