Video game problem!!!?

my Friend let me have his half life game its volume one. when I install steam it makes my register the game but the codes already been used by my freind so it wont let me register so I cant play it... my freind wont give me his steam account so what do I do?

just buy a new game , there not that expensive :)

find a code on the internet. my friend has this thing that can register codes for all games by EA

yep, the gmaes are registered to the account, you can "give the gift of game" but thats onyl when you buy the game new, or in special cases ( Like Orange box, where if you had HL2, then you could give it to a friend when you get Orange box as that has it in all ready) It's jsut the way stema works, you may be able to email stema to see hwo to get round this, but its mroe than likelly not possible.

It's not that expensive ( especailly if youre meaning the first game) and even with Episode 1 n 2 is still elss than the cost of 1 current game.

If you decide to buy it new get it as part fo the orange box, then you get Half Life 2, Episode 1 n 2 of that as well ,and Protal n Team Fortress 2.(n Peggle Extreme :P) saving $44 (ie down form $84)
