  2. Not an easy question to answer.  Vietnam is a long country stretched south to north so the vegetation varies widely.  Also there are mountains and river valleys, Jungles and beach areas.  So you have everything from full on jungle to pine trees in the mountains.  The Mekong river is so fertile that they have problems when they build wooden docks.  The wood keeps trying to grow and sprouts new shoots if not looked after continually.  the beach areas have palm trees and an odd type of pine and are generally really nice.  Many people go to the mountains for the coolness when the weather gets really hot.  (that is right now by the way)   I am currently living in a small Ancient town called Hoian  It is about 1/2 way down the country and is rated as one of the top 25 places to visit in the world.  Really beautiful but it is running about 100 degrees everyday through the last couple of weeks.  It is dry heat though so not to bad.  Kind of like LA on a hot day.

  3. Vietnam comprises mostly hills and mountain, hence you can see wide area of tropical forest. About 20% of Vietnam are level land, which are onto agiculture like rice field.
