The Spaniard has jumped to the defence of his side, expressing that he is more than satisfied with La Blaugrana’s performance despite their Supercup loss to Madrid.

Barcelona’s Tito Vilanova has maintained that the second leg of the Supercopa de Espana was his proudest night with the Catalan giants.
The newly appointed trainer gave little importance to the final result of the fixture, claiming that the team’s performance was nothing short of impressive.
The Spanish giants were humbled to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the traditional foes, Real Madrid, in the return leg of the Spanish Supercup. The match that took place at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday saw the Catalans face disappointment as they were
unable to retain the title they had won a year ago.
Having won the initial leg of the competition, Barca had the upper hand before going in second leg. However, Los Blancos had the advantage of 2 away goals which helped them secure the title they were unable to win in the previous season.
The first leg of the two-legged final took place at the Nou Camp. The game which was massively competitive from start to the end saw the hosts emerge victorious with a final score of 3-2.
Even though they had established a hefty lead over the visitors, a late goal provided Los Merengues with the benefit of 2 away goals.
The return leg was prominently dominated by Jose Mourinho's men. The Whites were able to score two goals inside the half-hour mark and hence, all the pressure was on the Catalans who had to score at least 2 goals in order to win, but they only managed to
find the back of the net once.
While talking to reporters, Vilanova was quoted as saying:
"The first half was not like us, but the second half was one of my proudest nights with the team. With 10 men we controlled the game and had five clear chances. We never sit back, defend with 10 and try to hit on the counter. With our players, we always
play the same way and did so in the second half. I would like to congratulate Madrid on winning the [Supercopa] title."
Wednesday’s victory was Real Madrid’s first win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 at home after 4 years.
