  1. the reason vines are more commone in the rainforest is most likely because the lack of sunlight on the forest floor.  Vines are used by plants when support is not available.  Since Plants need sunlight to live, the plants in the rainforest must find a way to reach the sunlight the trees are hogging up, so they use vines so they are able to have enough support to grow high up in the trees.

  2. Rain forests are very dark with a light lure on top which draws life towards it.

All plants are numerous in rain forests.

And there are many species of trees

so there will also be many species of that which utilizes them.

In My garden(Tropical) we got many types of vines and about half  of them are useful,

like vanilla ,and  yams, passion fruit,a sort of airborne potato ,and several types of squash .

Also the atmosphere is very humid ,so there are always a lot of airborne plants in rain forests ,such as mushrooms ,orchids ,mosses and vines(which additionally feed of the surface of the trees)

You will also encounter many parasitic plants that feed more profoundly and end up strangling or depleting the tree.
