Virus free download program?

I need a download program like ares or limewire but i know that they also download viruses. Does anyone know any FREE available to download, download programs that are safe to use?

i dont use limewire ever since my friend infected my computer. i prefer warez forums they have links to megaupload, rapishare and other hosting sites. but you have to register to see the links. if you want heres one site that i use www.warezscene.com. they have a whole section on programs.

I use Limewire and have done for years. I can assure you, that programs like limewire, frostwire, bearshare etc. DO NOT HAVE VIRUSES.

What they do have is a lot of fake files. Files pretending to be a song or movie, but are in fact viruses.

When you do a search you always see a lot of those very small files.

These files are much to small to be a song or movie and therefore it is very likely, that those small files are the fake files.

Start your downloads with files larger than 2500/3000kb.

Nothing is 100% save, so make sure your anti virus is up to date. Just in case.

When people say, that limewire has viruses and frostwire has not, is not true of course. Frostwire is like limewire a p2p program and are

nearly all the same. What counts for one, does counts for the others too.

You should have a working anti-virus that is updated all the time. You should also have several good malware scanners to check your operating system after being on-line for 6-20 hours.

Your question is an open ended question, ares, deluge, edonkey,  limewire, and mesnews are software designed to access location on the internet for download purposes.  As in the old days when we got stuff via floppy disk, we always scanned the contents with an anti-virus before using, or installing the files or software...

When scanning a Floppy, CD, DVD, USB Memory stick, or a download folder you are taking a chance the device or files are infected unless you know where they came from.  

Downloading or accessing a Floppy, CD, DVD, or USB Memory stick is not any different than opening e-mail from someone you do not know, all of these can potentially be infected with malware to make your computers operating system fail.

Being prepared for that eventual attack is your only protection if you are going to download or access files you have not created.  Today it is said 1 in 900 web pages are contaminated with some form of drive by windows malware.

You need to know that one day that you, and everyone you know will download a dangerous file that will make their computer system slow or inoperable.  

You need to know how to rebuild your computer's operating system, and put it back into operating condition.  You need to know this before downloading a great number of files, because not everyone is honest and forthright.

The more you download you will discover there are people that believe it is fun to create trouble and extra work for computer users.  There are also other that say you are only getting what you deserve for pirating copyrighted files, material and software.

You can learn to use a free Linux operating system, and a less common web browser.  Or you can purchase a Apple computer.  Or you can keep a second hard drive handy with a back-up copy of your Windows operating system, programs and files that is less than a week old in case you crash tomorrow.
