Visa for the United States?

They denied my visa application last year in October,and they marked my passport with seal that ive been denied.I wanted to visit my sister who lives in Washington DC with her husband who is in marines.Unfortunately i dont go to collage because i dont have money for it,and i had changed a few jobs because of bad treating.I would like to apply again for christmas holydays with my mom but im afraid i will be denied again.I dont know how to make them sure that i will realy get back to my homecountry and that i just want to go for a visit.I just want to SEE her..If i ve been denied once does that means that my chances to get it next time are sure to be lower?And what should i do?

in order to answer you ?

you must a least tell the country of origin.since you do not mention it? it will be hard to answer.

what you should have on your visa application was proof of your return to your country;

you do not have a job ? and you wanted to go to the US with your mother ?

therefore no family ties ? not married , no children , job, property in your home country ? not a likely candidate for a visa .

My parents' visa has just got denied. I and my husband sent an affidavit of support, invitation letter etc. They were no used. My parents are in their 60's, own a house, all of their children except me are in Indonesia and they don't speak any English. All of those aren't enough strong ties to Indonesia apparently. The officer never gave us the reason why. I think because my parents don't have enough money in the bank. I wonder how much money somebody has to have to get a Visa? At least 100 grand? We gave up. We'll never apply again. $100 to apply each time is not cheap. We just going to meet in Bali.  I feel like if you're poor, your good faith doesn't mean anything.

Again I don't mean to discourage you to reapply.

Prove that your sister will shoulder all your expenses while in the US and make the consul believe that you will return to your country of origin after the visit in the US by presenting documents showing your ties to your country.

That you were denied before does not necessarily impact the officer's decision when you apply again, and you are free to re-apply at any time.  Unfortunately, the official perspective is that you should not re-apply until circumstances have changed substantially to indicate that you have strong ties to your community.

Unfortunately, it sad but true. If you are from a poor country, it almost impossible to get a visa, unless you are fitly rich. You have to show that in more ways then one that you will not intend to visit this country and stay. But what is unfortunate, if you made it in illegally then you have politicians that would try to pass amnesty so you can stay while other who are trying to follow the laws are rejected or maybe be waiting for years for an answer.

Is life fair....no,,, laws are made to keep the honest people honest while the crooks find the loopholes in the law they created. !!!!!!!!!!!!God bless this world!!!!!!!!!

if you are going for a visit- you have to prove that you have money obviously- or else, why are you going?

if not, then your sister has to prove that she has a substantial amount of money.

can i ask how your sister made it to the US?
