Vodafone mobile broadband query...?

....I have had vodafone mobile broadband for a few months now.

I quite like it. Fast enough. And can watch youtube short vids if not longer TV shows or movies.

My one minor gripe is that when using it on my laptop, every time I close my laptop lid to go off and do something else for 10 mins, when I come back and open the lid up again I need to pull the dongle out and put it back in again to get reconnected. Takes a couple of mins to come back on.

Is there any setting I need to change to allow connection to stay on when opening and closing laptop lid???

The internet is disconnecting because the computer is hibernating when you close the lid. You can alter this in the Control Panel of your computer.

Open the control panel, then click on System and Maintenance. After that click on Power Options. In the list on the left you should see an option which says Change what closing the lid does.

Click on this. Using the drop down lists choose Do Nothing.
