Voip and other phone company?

I have the voip phone company [and] one of my other family relative has another type of phone company. I tried to call him [and] the call doesn't go through. Although when he calls from his house the call goes to through to our house. What can I do to fix this?

try to re-cycle your modem/adopter....that works for me!!

unplug the power-supply for about 30 sec and put it back in!
