no, seriously. can you jump over a net and coordinate your body to spike a ball down (that you can't see too clearly b/c your looking for blockers who would make you change your course of action) within a small space without running into the net or landing on a teammate.

ask a basketball player if volleyball is a sport. they are pretty similar. duh.

Yeah... although it is a matter of time before they say it isn't anymore... but i say a sport is when team work is in need, you have to communicate and trust your team mates and run.... although  cheer-leading isn't considered a sport  anymore and you have to do all the things i said above

and not just for girls, either. i know quite a few studmuffins who play sand with me.

ive had more injuries in volleyball than all the other sports i play. combined.

ranging from two concussions, a sprained ankle, and more bruises than i can count..

most deffinately a sport. it takes dedication, discipline, and a pure love for the game.

try watching a really competetive game of high school volleyball, or the beach volleyball during the olympics. it's great!
