  1. can't you just wait until it stops raining/lightning?

  2. if you need practice when its raining do some inside conditioning...wall sits planks pushups etc... and i have a volleyball pillow that i set off of walls when its raining...you dont have to go get wet to train

  3. If is not cold and you're in a good shape you can. Try less opened places like under the trees?

  4. If  there is lightning outside, you do not need to anything outside, especially under the trees.  I was working outside on our patio when lightning hit the tree near the house.  It was about 30 feet from me.  That was when I hit my highest ever vertical jump.

See if you can find a spot in the garage or under a car port.  You can also practice in the house if you are careful.  Set the ball just about a foot high or about a foot to the wall and back.   The first time you come close to losing it in the house and breaking something, head outside.

  5. Of course, it wouldn't be much fun in the rain (or safe, for that matter). You can do training such as weights/vertical jumping drills/maybe volleying against a wall, depending on your house. Do you know of any gyms that would be available that you could practice in?
