Volleyball rules question...outdoor/sand?

Question

If the ball hits the line (in beach volleyball) is it in? What if the line is not straight because it got moved during play? Meaning the ball hits the line but when the line is straightened after the ralley, the ball mark is completly out side the line, is the ball out, or do you still call it in, because it hit the line even thought the line was not where is should have been?

Also where do you find the answer to this? I looked in the FIVB and the USA Rules and it is not clear.

As a general rule, if the ball hits the line...it's considered IN, even if the line is not perfectly straight.  (That's one reason you always see so many players straighten the line after a point.)  

If the line is moved so much that it's actually way out of play, it sounds to me like the line is way too loose.

in all cases of volleyball, if the ball hits the line, it is in. in grass and sand, the line should be marked somehow, usually with a rope. in grass, if the ball hits near the line and the line moves, the ball is in, in sand, it is the same thing. if any part of the ball touches the line, it is in, no matter where the line is.

I did not find anything in the rules that allowed the referee to decide if the ball would have been in/out by where the line should have been.  I remember having to use that rule, but we had terrible ropes with lots of play in them.  The current ropes are much better and only move a little.

Rule 11.3 states that if the ball hits the line, it is in.
