Volleyball tryout help?

im trying out for volleyball on friday and was wondering if anyone had any advice. this is the 1st time ive ever played other than with friends, and im not awful, but i was wondering if there was any way for me to make a good impression? Thanks!!!! :-)))

I play for jv at my high school, and number one thing is to push yourself and not give up. And have a good attitude no matter what. Never talk back or get smart and just have fun with it :)

well, i've never played voleyball while in elementary nor in middle school. i've always watched my sisters play in high school. then i tried out for high school (keep in mind i've never played) and i made varsity! basically, it was practice that made my skills the way they are today. and that my asst coach was a professional beach player!

so, advice, practice practice practice! And DEDICATION TO THE GAME!

To be honest playing with friends is not the same as playing on a team. If your think your ok then most likely your not gonna be as good as you think. So with that in mind practice your passing, serving and hitting. Work on quick feet. Calling all balls near you. Become vocal, And if your try out is over several days then after the first try out go to the coaches and ask them what more can you do to be a better player. Without seeing you I can't tell how good you are or are not.
