Vtwin carb removal?

can the carbs on an 03 vt1100 be removed as a whole? it's just such a tight fit an i really don't see how the 2 can be removed as one. it's almost designed as if they have to be separated before it can be removed from the engine. help!!!

Like chopperchopster said - they come out as a unit.

After you pop them out of the manifolds, lift the carbs straight up and through the frame.

Probably.  I have a 1995 Virago 1100.  The carbs on this bike are best removed as a pair, and KEPT TOGETHER.  They can be taken apart and cleaned, rejetted, whatever, as a pair.  It's a tight tight fit, but it can be done.

Go find a Yahoo usergroup like the virago group below.  We also have a site called viragotech.com which is nice....honda guys should be so lucky...hey, why not sell that dog and buy a virago?  LOL.
