  1. Don't listen to any other persons answer...Them solo's will be bangin, If I were you, I would buy 2 zx2500.1's and give each speaker the full 2500 watts, but be sure to put them in a nice ported box...and tune it to about 35hz, take all this to your local car audio shop, they should know what to do, and have them professionally installe it.

    Hope I helped.

  2. ok well first of all, dont listen to biggen he has no idea wat hes talkign about. Even if they are 2000 watts peack each you can run 2500 wattas into each. If you have the L5's they are 600 RMS and 1200 watt peak each. If you have the L7's they are 750 watt RMS and 1500 watt peak. I have 2 L5's which are 12 inches and i have a kicker zx1500.1 watt amp and that makes them slam. You can run them at about 200 Watts over the RMS which i think is good. If you push 1000 watts into each they will eventually blow. GOOD LUCK

  3. Are they L5's or L7's?

In a sealed cabinet the L5's would do ok with about 300-500 watts of power, the L7's would need about 500-750 each.

What kind of car are they going into?

I would recommend putting them in a sealed box for space savings... those two subs will take up a decent amount of room, and be plenty loud.

As for an amp again it depends on which model they are, and what voice coil configuration they are.  My guess is that they are dual 2ohm.  You could wire them in a 2ohm mono configuration on an amp that puts out roughly 1000 watts and they should pound.

Look into the Alpine pdx amps, kicker 1200.1, maybe a jl 1000/1 (kinda pricey though).

If you need anymore help you can pm me.

  4. Yea, I'd stay clear from Boss. I'm no expert but 2000W a sub does not sound right for those Kickers. Go to Crutchfield.com and chat with them it's free. They'll tell you exactly what you got and exactly what you need. They'll get you looking in the right direction. They'll probably suggest something. Go with that or something else. Either way Pricegrab w/e it is @ pricegrabber.com because Crutchfield is more expensive often. If you find a much better price get it. Especially if you don't plan on doing the installation yourself. If the price isn't much of a difference get it from Crutchfield and save some money if your willing to try the installation yourself because they give you directions and sometimes the tools you will need.
