WHATS THE DiFFERENCE BETWEEN HOTMAIL AND...?

When signing up for the email, you can choose it to be for example

[e-mail] or [e-mail]

whats the difference? is there even one?

There is no difference. It's just 2 different options which doesn't affect what services you'll get.

The only difference is how your email address will end, either with hotmail.com or live.com. Nothing else is affected, I prefer live.com just because it's shorter :)
