WHERE DID MY DVD DRIVES GO??????

i have never had a problem with the dvd drives on my ASUS pc but just today i went to burn a dvd and the drive wasnt there - it opens but if i put a disk or anything in, it wont read it and i only have the virtue drives left on mh pc. my 2 dvd drvies just dissapperaed and i really want to no wtf is goin on n if there is anyway to fix it, ps. i made sure all the hardware was connected proply

If you checked your connections and did not solve your problem, replace your signal cables (not the power cables) to your dvd drives. I assume both drives use the same cable.
