  1. Is it turning over a lot faster than usual?

If so then cam belt has snapped.

If that is ok, undo one of the thin fuel injection pipes where it bolts to injector, usually a 19mm spanner needed. Undo it until you can wobble the pipe a bit but don't take it right off.

Get someone to try to start the car, you should get some fuel spray out of the loosened connection, if not then it may be the pump, cam belt, fuel cut off solenoid on pump, key transponder or few other things but these are most common.

  2. it also has a fuel pump relay. turn on the ignition and listen hard when you do to see if you can hear a buzzing, thats the fuel pump priming up. if not it could be the relay or the pump itself. one of those will most likely be the problem

  3. There should be a rubber bulb in the fuel line under the bonnet. Squeeze it hard half a dozen times. This will prime the pump, which may have some air in it. They won't pump with air present.

  4. is the engine management light on if not these cars are very bad for the fuel leak off pipes cracking up and drawing air un like most diesels these cars will not start if they are faulty but be care full changing them its a tricky job
