Walking on water (fake)?

Question

I am looking for a way to make it look like your walking on water in a video without useing a bluescreen..ive thought of many ways.. but they all look sloppy if anyone can think of any ways (programs) then please tell. thanks in advance.

I saw Chris Angel do this in one of his TV series he had a whole bunch of people in the pool where he did it, I can only guess of how he did it but im sure he used some sort of big sheet of glass?

You cannot tell how deep water is when it is shimmering light. Find a water fountain or even a horse trough, build up some cement blocks to just below the water line. Take closeup pictures of the actors feet standing/walking on this. Intercut this with pictures of the actor standing on shoreline or on a pier, with a lake as the background (don't show the feet of course). aka the magic of Hollywood.

Well the best way i can think about would be to do something along the lines of an infinity pool... you know the ones where you can't see then end and they just blen in with whats beyond them, (usually the ocean) so I would do something with some sort of platform that the person is standing on and use a very low angle on the camera...so that your looking pretty much straight across the water, almost parallel with it...and then have the person walking on the platform.  I realize that wasn't the best discription, but the main point being that the camera angle has to be low, and as even with the water as possible.  hope it works, if you try it and it does, let me know!
