Question:

Warning for T-Mobiles?

My husband received three texts from someone who wanted to contact Neil and Emma. The third one came at 6am this morn waking us up. I had warned him on the first one that would probably be a scam and to delete the text. However when he received the 3rd one he said he thought it was genuine and did a text back, it didn't sent the text, it started calling the number. I told him to cancel it.

What these scammers do as in this case, is to get you to call back and immediately £1 50 is deducted from your credit if not more and they receive the amount. They must do this to thousands of numbers and innocent people will call them back thus boosting their income.

Delete these texts and ignore them.

  1. Yeah thanks me and partner are both T-mobiles so will let him know. These people are losers, the annoying thing is it's the decent people who show genuine concern that they're stinging.

The people who set it up are probably chavvy drug addicts or something, they must have no pride.

  2. Not thousands millions as they us a computer to set it up.  I always add surnames to numbers in my mobile. so If I don't see a caller I know, I just delete it.

They rely on you only putting first names and strike lucky a lot more than spammers.

  3. Thanx

  4. Calling a mobile cannot reduce you credit but making a call does and some numbers charge £1.50 per call or text esp if five or six digit numbers wihthout the 07.

  5. What people do to get money off other people, thanks for the warning I will let family and friends know, its nice to know that we have other innocent people that lets everyone else knows there problems on text messages that are scams.

Thank you and very honest thing to do

  6. That is down to the c**p company T- Mobile. Others have put a stop to it some how.

  7. Oh my God! Thanks for information

  8. Thank you for the warning.
