    "Rudolf Diesel, who invented the diesel engine, probably was bumped off by the German secret service. His turn-of-the-century engine was key to the new German weapon, the U-boat. In 1913 he headed for England to talk business with the British admiralty. He got on the Channel ferry but he did not get off. His body was never found."
