Water leak on '05 ford mondeo?

Question

I have just brought an 05 mondeo . When i used the rear windscreen washer no water came out . I did have a puddle of water under the back of the car . Where do the pipes run for the water jets?

AFAIK they run along the roof then into the top of the tailgate.

The water will either be going down the rain channel in the rear pillars or the bottom of the tailgate.

Happened to a friend of mine on an '04' Mondeo but it was running onto the back seat!!

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:-

I don't know where the joints are but I would suggest operating the washer while someone else looks to see if water is dripping from anywhere.
