  1. A Dolby Lake Processor is designed for professional loudspeaker systems.  It is used in between the mixer and the amps to process the sound and protect the speaker system.  It would be used in a large PA system for a concert.  It would not be used at home with a computer.  It costs a lot more than most home computers ($7000 US).

  2. The Dolby lake processor is a sound processor that can do a lot of things to sound which acts like a sound card so you dont really need it because the sound card can do exactly the same thing.

For compatability, it depends on the computer and system. This thing is meant to receive a spdif signal from a mixer and send that signal to a speaker amplifier.

The G500 doesnt have spdif i believe....look into the G550 of 700 line.....

It would normally cost between 1k to 2k

In india.....0-3k, since you can easily get a knockoff that will break your system. Probably 4k if you order a REAL one from the usa.
