Question:

We Won! Eriksson mistakes?

We didnt win as we hoped, but i guess i couldnt expect much when our starting lineup only got one or two days with him. I'm still happy we won!! and Viva Mexico! But these are mistakes i think Eriksson made and hopefully will learn from them for the next game.

1.Youth over Experience

At this point Dos Santos and Vela are not ready to start, plus we needed a CF not two wings up top. We need to play with a CAM(blanco) and then a CF(Nery Guille or Bravo). Vela and Gio may be ready by 2010 or not but at this point we need to put in experienced players and put them in at like the 60th minute.

2.Oswaldo

He made two pretty good saves but did you see how many times he amde huge mistakes with the ball at his feet? He made too many risks and his ball skill sucks and i really hope eriksson saw this and atleast tries Ochoa at goal now and then.

3.Leandro over Torrado

I have to say Torrado plays way better than Leandro and since he's more defensive than Leandro it gives space for Pardo to move up a bit and take a few long range shots or two. If your going to be a Naturalized player on the team you have to demonstarte your better than the player your sitting on the bench and he definetly is not.

4.Cuauhtemoc

I agree he may not be able to play the whole game but games are alot easier if you score in the first half and is we put him in first as a CAM he will create chances for us and not only that open up spaces because the other team will try and mark him closer. As of right now he demonstarted he's the only one who can truly play that position.

This is what i think but tell me if i missed something or you disagree?

  1. u forgot about guille franco that argentinan sucks

  2. I disagree with the leandro part. He play good. Common he played good for his first game, and don't forget There was a lot of pressure on him since he not a naturalizado. So for his first game with el tri, all that pressure on him and everyone critisizeing him, I think he did well. Just give him time and a chance and he will make a big diffrence with el tri

  3. Reasons Why You Are Wrong

    1.  Vela and Dos Santos were our best forwards in that game (Bravo and Franco didn't do c**p, did you see all the chances that Dos Santos created? How Vela broke away from his defender only to be yanked back? We were a lot more dangerous with those two up top than we were with Bravo and Franco.  Plus neither of them are true wingers, Vela is a ST or CF, Dos Santos is CF or CAM, sure they can play as wingers but they are better at their true positions.

    2.  You are right here

    3.  Torrado is worse than a pile of S**t, we would do better with a brick wall than with Torrado.  The fact that Eriksson noticed this is great.  I still can't believe Torrado gets called up to El Tri.  Leandro gave us a way better game that Torrado would've never been able to give us in his life time.

    4.  No having Cuau as a sub is the smartest thing you can do.  Putting him in those last 30 mins is key because that is when Blanco shines, when the other players are tired

  4. 1. did u see the first 20 mins. gio and vela made many chances for guardado and arce. i think sven was tryin to play with alot of speed, and it was workin. the honduran defense couldnt keep up with all that speed. seriously, we dominated the first 20 mins. they tire out the defense, so cuauh can come in and do his thing.

    2. oswaldo only made one bad mistake, and he cut off the pass that could have been a goal so he made it up.

    3. i agree with u. leandro played well. but i like the fact that when torrado plays, pardo has freedom to push up a bit. and i would go with torrados experience, but i agree that leandro played well. VUOSO SUCKS AND GUILLE IS TOO d**n SLOW, AND HE DOESNT SCORE WHEN HE PLAYS WITH MEXICO.

    4. i think cuauh is a second half sub. hes not as fast so the starters can somewhat tire the defense out and have cuah pick them apart later. IF WE ARE WINNING- cuauh can slow the game down and help keep possession. IF WE ARE LOSING- cuah can create opportunities. so i do think he is a second half sub.

  5. 1. Vela and Dos Santos should not have started. Maybe Vela and some1 else, but not the two together for sure.

    2. Oswaldo was the right choice. This game required a little more experience cause of Suazo

    3. Leandro was way better. He was able to distribute the ball in a way torrado cannot

    4. Cahutemoc should start, but also accompanied by better forwards. If Cahutemoc and Zihna were put together they would dominate

  6. I Just want arce out..he tried to do too much yesterday and he always got the ball taken away

  7. 1. They should have started with Bravo and Franco then switch to youths

    2. Ochoa should be a starter

    3. They play different positions and styles, I say its all up to how the coach wants the game to be played.

    4. Cuauhtemoc Blanco is awesome and talented. He's a bit slow so he should start the second halfs when the opponents are exhausted.

  8. we know two things for sure where was cuauhtemoc blanco mostly all the game and when he came in they scored the two goals....and where is OCHOA??

  9. i blame oswaldo i mean come on thats where SUPERMAN COMES IN.....OCHOAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. I agree on the first two. I liked Leandro in the mid did pretty good his better with the ball than Torrado but Torrado has more recovery.

Blanco should come in starting the 2nd half or within the first 15mins of the second half. Zinha should be called up now that he is healthy and start and CAM.

Leandro and Zinha I think should be the only Naturalizados called up.

NO VOUSO NO GUILLE WE HAVE BETTER MEXICAN BORN PLAYERS IN THAT POSITION!!!!!!!!!

  11. 1.- when is the right time to put young ones in the starting line up? giving vela and dos santos continuity in the national team will give em confidence cause if we as usual wait until theya re 27, 28 they would still need to get some time on the field as a team to know each other.

2.- Oswaldo is a leader, Ochoa aint, and if your first point was that you bashed youth over experience then here it backfired ti you.

3.- Leandro is no better than torrado, but pay attention my friedn no player from cruz azul was called due to the tournament they were playing in spain, again get your information right.

4.- Save the best for last, getting ahead 1 or 2 goals ahead, doesnt mean that you will ahve the game controlled, many times mexico loses its balance once they make some adjustments. So getting temo in at the second half was a good idea, kinda like cabrito arellando in the world cup of france i think.

all in all i think it was a pretty decent forst game for the national team, cause the score didnt show exactly waht really happened on field, and the coach didnt have any experience of a concacaf match.

  12. ummmm.   i agree on some of your points and some i dont.

i think sven should have stared vela and blacno or vela and bravo and gio could have came off the bench for arce.

leandro looked bad last night, but who knows he might have just been nervous, lets see what he dose against jamaica.

and oswaldo only made one mistake. when he kicked the ball to the right when he was pressured.

the goal, no one could have stoped that. it was 3 yards outside of the box. and rambo had grreat curve on the ball. and it hit off the top post in the left corner! ochoa cant get to that eithter. oswald played his odds and lost.

  13. The matching monkey suits for coaching staff.

    They should just wear warmups.

  14. I agree with all your points except for Torrado over Leandro. I personally think Leandro played pretty well aside from giving up the free kick which Honduras scored with. And I'm one iof the guys who didn't want Leandro on El Tri, but yesterday he hustled, played some great tactical passes, and overall just had a certain "class" about him that Torrado doesn't.

Hopefully for the next game Sven will put Franco up top and maybe play Vela off of him. Before the game started I too questioned why he put Vela and Dos Santos up front. Both of them lack the physicality that's necessary for a 9.

    But it's a good start.
