We are a family of......?

We are a family of 9 people total. We all have our school things ready, so my mom wants to get rid of the slightly used/new folders, pencil cases, and book sox. Any suggestions besides like homeless shelters?

Join freecycle and give them away.  I'm currently posting all the clothes my kids outgrew and already had a few people pick the items up.  You can also just donate them to the school.

That's a really nice thing to do. :)  I would suggest calling your school. If they can't use them, they should be able to point you in the direction of someone who can.

Why don't you guys donate them to your school?  They could give them to other kids whose parents can't afford to buy them those things.

I'm not sure whether they accept used supplies or not.

Also, you could just donate them to last year's teacher.  The teacher can keep the supplies on hand to hand out to kids over the year, when they run out of or break their own supplies
