Weak ankles?

how do you know if you need a knee brace? my ankle hurts sometimes after im on it too much. i think i might need something for it. some people just get it wrapped and other get an actual brace, how do i know which one i need?

  1. you might want to try doing some strength exercises for your ankle as well, to prevent future injuries...try 3 sets of 10 for toe raises and heel raises


  2. YOU NEED TO SEE THE TEAM TRANER OR A DOCTOR BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING:-)

  3. Wrap it up, or get an ankle brace. Then "write" you name and do the ABC's in the air with your foot. This helps strengthen your ankles. Wrapping it up would probably be more affective because it is shaped especially for your ankle. It's best to get a gym coach or doctor to wrap it though, so they do it correctly.

  4. i wuold reccomend using a brace only as a last resort. if it is your ankle that is giving you problems there are things you can do to make them stronger. by using a brace without trying fix the problem your ankles will only get weaker. i would try to find a thing called a Baps board. it is a tool used by athletic trainers for sprained ankles.

  5. they have ankle braces that go like halfway up your leg, and they work the best in my opinion.

  6. I am like you with weak ankles.  I've tried both the brace and wrapping it.  With trying both, I prefer the brace.  As a whole, I guess it is to what the person prefers.  Hope it helps out.
