  1. Trust in Allah. Wear your hijab proudly because only Allah can judge you. Be strong in your faith. Know you are NOT alone. Get involved more with the youth/new sisters programs at your mosque. You will find lots of support inshallah from other sisters in your area. Trust me, you are NOT alone. Remember that Allah knows best. Make du'a for strength. Good luck with your hijab! Forget people staring at you and talking about you. People will talk about you anyway!

  2. I have two daughters, ages 12 & 13 and they both attend publisc school here in Florida and they both wear the hijab.  there are other girls as well who wear it at their school.  Inshallah you will find as a new Muslim that your faith will be fragile for a time, but as you slowly but surely implement various Islamic paractices, your faith will grow and you will find the transition much more easy.  Narrated by Abu Huraira (ra): The Prophet said, "Faith (Belief) consists of more than sixty branches (i.e. parts). And Haya (modesty) is a part of faith." (Bukhari

  3. Depends on where you live and what level of school you're at.  I had friends who wore Hajabs in college.  I don't know if it was an issue for them, but it didn't seem to be.  At the high school level I can see it being difficult as teenagers are largely ignorant and will project the ignorance of their parents.

  4. hey w.salmam

wearing hijab is abig part of being muslim cuase it helps with modesty and you should act more modest when u wear it ..though since u just reverted mabey u should just try reading some qur'an and try yourself to love islam ..wearing hijab is not al there is too it ..anywho back to your question you should deffnetley meet the muslims in your school and befriend them ,,mabey they could show a nice way to war it ... but mostly muslism are accepted in schools,,, and your friends may ask why r u wearing it all of a sudden ....when u do wear pls pls psl dont remove it in public or just stop weraing all together ..ishallah u should wear the whole school year ...and it would seem that u take islam as a joke and that your not a consistent person ..you figure out what your going to tell people cuase it sucks to get cought off guard ..i dont knnow any hadith but u should purchase this concordnance ..its like a dicctonary for the qur'an and very helpful ..im 16 and in highschool  and i live in the usaone u get past the explanation it should be ok

  5. What did Shaytan wisper sound like, is it any good?

I've been trying to catch sahytan for long time, I keep missing.

  6. The longer you hold off wearing it the harder it's going to get. Good luck sister.

  7. Congratulations on your conversion sister.

All i can say is know what your intentions are. Allah is more important then what humans think of you. Shaytan tries to stop you and dont let him. Just think what is more important.

  8. This site motivated me big time, and inshallah I will start wearing hijab starting this Ramadan because of it.

  9. try a change of environment, there are islamic schools out there that seperate the boys from the girls and hijab becomes part of the dress code. Of course, youll always have to struggle with in in college, and for the rest of your life, but for each moment you struggle you participate in jihad and increase your rewards and connection with allah (swt) he knows what is good for you, and remember he would never test you with something thats too hard for you to handle. so even if it seems impossible, the fact that HE is testing you with it means that you are ABLE to pass that test. do your best inshallah, its harder than it seems, but with some encouragement, and especially the right environment, you could definitly succeed. ask you parents to have you attend an islamic school, im sure they'ed be more than happy to put you in one. also your mother should be a good example for you and wear hijab too.

  10. Welcome to islam sis. = )

You shouldn't wear hijab unless your completly comfortable with it. Try wearing it for a day, outside school and see how you feel. And just because there aren't a lot of girls who wear it at your school, that should'nt stop you from wearing it. and maybe you will encourage other Muslim girls to wear it! good lcuk

    Salam dear brothers and sisters,

I have heard sum really good advice here, and i was hoping that sum1 would kindly help me too. Im a new hijabi, i just started today after years of putting it off, i felt so guilty that i did not wear it. I felt so ashamed infront of allah for not wearing it.

But today when i stepped into class everyone wearing hijab (all non-muslims, boys and girls) stopped and stared blankly at me and kept staring. Only one of my classmates talked to me, everyone else just stared. All day.

I just thought no one minded, but just 2 mins ago my friend sent me a mail with all of the chat conversations the other people had about me, they are all back biting about me now, everyone is bad things and swearing at me behind my back. I dont know why, i am a quiet shy person and was always taught to be nice to people around me. But i have promised allah and myself i will never take the hijab off, and no comment can make me change that. But dear brothers and sister, i feel so sad.

How do i overcome this abandoned and sad feeling?

  12. Peace be upon you sister!!! i  wear the hijab and one way i make sure that nothing makes me motivates me to take it off is to see if any of the humans or shaytan is more powerful than Allah. Which i know is incredibly false!!!!! so i say to myself why should i care of what shaytan says or any human say. they are not God. they are  powerless like me........ who cares????! even though they stare at me. i know that i am doing the right  thing.  so the next time u go to school. think about. are u going to care of the opinions of powerless humans and the devil???? or are u going to follow the commands of Allah (swt)??? hope my story and  advice helps u to wear the hijab. and once again peace be upon u!!!!!!!

  13. Allaah says In Surah at-Talaaq from verses 2 and 3:

And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty).

And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allah will accomplish his purpose. Indeed Allah has set a measure for all things.

  14. i have the same problem, i dont wear it, but i see this muslim convert, she wears it, and was telling me how hard it was, but she kept wearing it, she inspired me, but for some reason, im still not wearing it.

  15. Sister you are a muslim you are convert to so you have no sin's be happi and follow islam would you want to go h**l becuase people are ignorant?

were the hijab because it's your was to jannah so inshallah allah will guide you to the right path.

  16. It isn't necessary to wear a hijab in America, in fact I think its counter productive, in America if you wear a hijab your going to get more looks toward you, so its the exact oppose of what the purpose is for. Just be modest don't wear short shorts, or spaghetti straps, just wear normal clothes. But its great that you are willing to wear one.
