  1. You probably could wear contacts again.  There is not one brand that works best for all people.  See a reputable eye doc who will work with you to find the best material for you.  You may have to do some dry eye therapy before starting contacts and continue the therapy long term.  Dry eye is a chronic condition and doesn't go away.  It can be environmental and worsen in some conditions making your contacts less tolerable sometimes.

You need to proceed with caution if you have had corneal ulcers in the past.  People have lost their vision from corneal ulcers so you must weigh the risks and benefits of contacts.

I cannot stress enough the importance of a reputable doctor and proper lens fit, follow up, and care for safe use of contacts.  It pains me to see so many people looking for the cheapest way out of an eye exam on this board.  People would rather skimp on their eye care than on their hair care...  As far as I know, no one has ever gone blind from a bad hair cut!

    Good Luck,

  2. I agree with everyone thus far. Are you wearing color contacts? If so, those tend to dry out the eyes more because they do not provide much oxygen to the eye. Clear contacts with silicone hydrogel do because they are more permeable. Ask your doctor about them. Dryness seem to be a very common problem!

  3. acuvue oasys with hydraclear. Helps dry eyes and provides moisture.
