Wearing keffiyeh=supporting Palestinians=bad?

how is wearing the keffiyeh offensive? i really just wanna know. people on the news and others are so crazy and mad at people wearing them for fashion...why? first, they're not wearing them to really support palestinians, and if they are supporting palestinians...why is it bad?? ireally wanna know!
