on the weather radars how bad is light green, yellow, white and so on. List from lest worst to worst please!

  1. The colours (ozzie spelling) are not automatic but are put there by the program designers. I don't think there is any one international standard. At a guess, I would say that the lighter the colour (there's that spelling again) the lower the rainfall or the intensity of rainfall.


  2. Light Green- is usually just rain to steady rain.

    Yellow- is heavy rain which could be acompanied by lightning.

    Red- (which would be next) is usually defined as a strong t-storm with heavy rain, maybe hail and strong winds. (Strong Storm)

    White- Heavy rain, strong winds, possibly hail, and frequent lightning. (Severe Storm)
