Weather in Puerto Vallarta?

I'm thinking of planning a trip at the end of August to Puerto Vallarta for about 10 days. How is the weather usually during that period? If it's rainy, can you suggest another destination where it's not rainy (other than Hawaii)?

End of Aug. into Sept. is the end of the rainy season there so everything will be green and beautiful.  The rainy season is not very rainy as you might imagine.  Aug. is a nice time to go, although Oct. thru March is perfect.  Have a great time!

Hot and humid.  If you  live in an area with high temps AND high humidity, you shouldn't mind the weather in August in PV.  Otherwise, you will likely find it uncomfortable.

I'm not sure about the weather in Cabo San Lucas at that time.  Maybe it's not quite so humid.

The 'rainy season' in Puerto Vallarta extends from June through October -- with the least amounts of rain occurring in the months of June and October, and the heaviest amounts of rain through the months of August and September.  The 'dry season' extends from November through May.

Late-August, as has been said, will be hot and humid -- with frequent rain showers (often mostly in the late-afternoons and overnights).
