How do meteorologists detect a blizzard? If anyone has the answer I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

  1. If you are currently in a high-pressure system that should eventually ripple to a low-pressure system and if it's cold and cloudy that equals high winds and combine that with some snow and BOOM. blizzard.

This is probably wrong in many ways

  2. Radar to track precipitation.

the radar waves bounce off of snow/rain particles and they bounce back to the radar station.

Its just like how they forecast rain except with a blizzard, the temperature needs to be below freezing, and have conditions be windy

  3. im a blizzard
