  2. Go to a local club and get an official USGA handicap.  It will cost you less than $30 per year, and allow you to play in that course's tournaments, as well as those at others.

Most courses have the ability for you to then post your scores either at any other course in the area (immediately after your round) or online when you get home.

  3. Golfsmith.com has a new USGA handicap service.

  4. Set one up at your local golf club (or any golf club) and the website will be ghin.com. Here you can submit scores, and look at other peoples from any course in any state!  I would definitly recommend this website if you want an offical handicap. (USGA)  And its is updated every 2-weeks, so you will always have a current handicap!
