I have a nexxtech webcam, the model is 2516513. I download the driver online because I lost my disk. It's installed, and the camera was working and is plugged in. But it's still not working. When I click the button nothing happens, and when I go into the program it says " Sorry, you have no video capture hardware" I don't know what the problem is or how to fix it, Help!?

  1. It's not clear from your message whether or not this camera ever worked; did you have it working and then it stopped working?

I'll first cover the proper way to install one of these; please bear with me if this isn't your problem. Most people just plug in the camera before installing the software; that is a big no-no. You MUST install the software first and wait until it tells you to install the camera.

So let's try to fix this regardless of what happened. Go into your Control Panel and uninstall the Webcam software. Unplug the camera. Restart the computer.

Now install the driver software and wait until it asks you to connect the camera.  That should be all it takes. If it still isn't working, the camera might be defective.

Personally I find Nexxtech branded items to be of very poor quality.
