Website building question ?

I am creating a website with Yahoo website builder (template). I would like to see if the business would be of interest, etc... and eventually it gets popular. My question: once I can see that the site is creating interest and business is picking up- can the page be converted or easily being redone by a professional website builder? I don't want to invest that money before knowing it will be worth it..

  1. That shouldn't be a problem for a Pro.

  2. You may want to considerMicrosoft Office Live Small Business instead, a free service - http://tinyurl.com/officeliveoffer . Currently, MS is offering a free domain name (i.e. yourbusiness.com) for the first year. It has a online web design tool that allows you to create web pages without coding. You'll want to keep your costs low first before committing, so a Office Live works great.

  3. I don't think so. Yahoo website builder is not a serious design tool. If it's a site with a lot of content, you'll need some kind of CMS (content management system). There are a couple of free solutions such as WordPress (http://wordpress.org/), Joomla (http://www.joomla.org/) etc. These CMS's can manage templates, so if you want to save some money, you can get cheap and nice templates for about $20-50. Unique templates go around $200-600. Hope I helped.
