  1. Theme it to the honey moon destination.

  2. my sister is getting married and for salads shes doing a strawberry poppyseed mix, which actually tastes pleasing and it goes perfect since it's summer, or you could try just a regular chicken caesar since it is a crowd favorite. and for meat i would go with pork with a nice flavor to it, i would try lemon or mint. just a few ideas you might want to try. :)

  3. You need to have something for everyone since many people have dietary limits nowadays.   I went to an event last week and they had a fantastic pasta salad with large bowtie pasta, white beans, cucumber, onion, roasted red peppers in a light balsamic vinaigrette.

  4. chicken dishes, beef dishes, pork dishes, salad mix w/ toppings and dressings to choose from(doesn't have to be a lot, you can always dwindle it down). Have things that are easy to eat and make sure it isn't too messy. Don't want to get the bride and groom dirty before they leave.

  5. Here are some ideas you might enjoy:

    Salad Station:  Spinach, feta, candied walnuts, mandarin oranges, champagne dressing; Red potato salad with chives, bacon, chopped celery, sour cream and dijon; Caprese with sliced ripe tomatos, mozarella and fresh basil;

    Appetizer Station:  grilled asparagas, chilled, wrapped in prosciutto; Cheese platter with brie, manchega, fontina, gouda, with artisan crackers; shrimp salad in endive leaves; skewered tortelini with marinara dipping sauce; shu mai; gourmet olives, cornichons, pepperoncini; melon wrapped in prosciutto; pepper salami rollups with cream cheese and cornichons; Giant prawns on ice with cocktail sauce and lemon slices.

    Main Dishes:  grilled chicken b*****s with artichokes; grilled tri-tip with a cabernet reduction; pork tenderloin with teriyaki.

    Sides:  Au gratin potatos; wild rice pilaf; roasted veges; fresh green beans with almonds

    Dessert buffet:  mini cupcakes; mini brownie bites; cookies; lemon tartlets; pecan pie tarts; white chocolate raspberry bars; shot glasses with cheesecake, chocolate mousse

  6. went to one wedding where they had burgers and chips for their buffet!  as the whole wedding was really extravagent this was a big surprise!  but as its your day you should have what you like, not whats expected of you.

    My favourite for my wedding was stovies.  as was too excited to eat at the meal this was perfect in the evening to soak up the alcohol!  yum!

  7. Two main meats out of roast beef or pork, baked ham, turkey; a hot potato dish, such as baby roasted potatoes; hot mixed vegetables; a variety of salads, such as Caesar, garden, potato, coleslaw, pasta salad, marinated vegetables; cheeses, pickles, buns; a variety of dainties.
