  1. I agree with them, it's better if you buy a wedding dress before 6 months of your wedding. It's risky if you buy now because your body weight, trends and taste of dresses might change.

  2. if you buy this soon you risk 1) not fitting into the dress a year from now 2)finding a dress you like better

    shop around but don't buy

  3. No, unless you are going to loose weight or put on, i know a girl who brought hers 6 years ago. she still wore it.

    she loved it.

    Good luck!

  5. Typically you should buy the dress 4 to 6 months from the wedding day. There is no reason why you couldn't buy it now, but you would need to store it properly so no damage was done and also make sure you don't gain or lose too much weight.

  6. As in, September 2009?  I think it's great to start looking now, to see what styles fit you best, etc. By comparison shopping, you can find better prices and find a dress that is your absolute favorite.

I bought one on impulse because I liked it ok and it was on sale, but now I'm not crazy about it.  I wish I would have shopped around more, because I'll probably end up getting a different dress and spending more money! :(

So, yes, it's great to start early.

  7. I dont think it is too early! But i would suggest going a little bigger just in case!! As you can always have it altered but if its too small its just bad luck & money down the drain.

    Hope this helps

  8. I don't think so.

I already have my dress and my wedding is Oct '09.  Of course I am now dieting to ensure I don't gain any weight in the next 1 year + so I will still fit into the dress just fine and maybe I'll lose a little weight and be able to have the dress taken in.

  9. I'm getting married September 2009 too! I saw THE DRESS  last month, it was a perfect fit and exactly what I had been searching for so I went ahead and bought it! Under those circumstances I don't think it's too soon. If you happen to  find THE DRESS, go for it! It probably won't be there if you wait too long.

  10. If you don't think you will change your mind on it and you don't plan on losing a lot of weight where it will need to be altered drastically than I say go for it.

  11. i think you should try some wedding dress right now, so that you have time for adjustments, ...

  12. Yes, that`s over a year away, anything could happen between now and then.....this is a true story, once knew a young couple who decided on marriage, the first thing the bride-to-be did was go shopping for a wedding dress although the wedding was far off. I accompanied her and her mother as she searched for the perfect dress. She found it at a costly price. Months down the road her love had a change of heart and backed out of the marriage plans. Needless to say, they broke up. Not saying that would happen to you, but be aware that one or the other of the couple could get cold feet as the date gets closer, so it`s best to wait a few months more before buying your dress or putting any plans in motion.
