Weekend trip from London?

Where is the best place to go to outside of london like scotland or finland for the weekend? Thanks

P.s. we live in london and want a country-ish place to go to

Well, Scotland is definitely country-ish in many places; the hills are magical.  Finland seems like a long way to go for a weekend.  Belgium also has its spots and it's close.  France has its country-ish spots too and again that's close.  How about Wales or Ireland?  You really have a lot of choices, just depends what you feel like doing.
