Weight Watchers Eggless Coke Cake?

Question

I am a vegan. I want to make a eggless chocolate cake.

ANd i might use diet coke.But, will it change the flavor of the chocolate cake a lot?

Its a box cake from Betty Crockers It says to add, water,eggs and oil!

So what should i add when i add coke and what not to add?

Also please tell me how much diet coke and if it changes the flavor of the cake!

Actually its funny you mention this. I just tried this. Only I used Betty Crocker White Cake Mix and a can of orange soda to make it taste like a dreamcicle... :) It makes the cake REALLY dense and a weird texture but its not really bad.  You can use applesauce as a substitute for egg to somehow. Experiment with using the coke and then try applesauce see what you like. But for fun try the dreamcicle recipe for something different. Yum What could it hurt?!

This is the funniest things I have read in ages.

How ironic a “weight watchers” cake, made with coke.

And don’t fool yourself into thinking “diet” coke is healthier or better for you.

Your version sounds so foul, it makes me want to vomit just reading about it.

one box cake mix, any flavor

10 oz. cola, any flavor, not diet (open a 12 oz can and take a couple sips)

In a bowl, mix together cake mix and soda. Pour into greased cake pan. Bake according to directions on the box. That's it! You won't believe how quick and how easy this cake recipe is!

Hint: For a chocolate cake, use a dark soda, like Coke or Pepsi. For a yellow cake or spice cake, use a light soda like Sprite or 7-up.

orange pop with  white cake and you  about do any combo with this. enjoy and get yoru creative juices flowing these are really very good I make muffins with this.

1 box dry cake mix -- any flavor

10 ounces diet soda -- any flavor

1 or 2 egg whites -- slightly beaten, optional but cake stays together better and is fluffier

Mix the dry cake mix, the diet soda, and the egg white(s) until well

blended. Pour into a 9 X 13 sprayed pan or prepared cupcake tins. Cook according to the directions on cake mix box.

Serving Ideas : Diet Soda Cake Combinations:

orange cake /diet Mountain Dew

cherry chip cake / A& W diet Cream soda

diet lemon + lemon;

angel or yellow cake/orange diet pop

diet peach with white cake

spice cake/ diet lemon-lime pop

Diet cola + devils food or chocolate mix

as u can see the eggs aren't necessary at all it just holds it together better but i've never used them.

Caroline gave the same answer that I would.  Just add a can of soda to a cake mix and put it in a greased cake pan.

I have done similar to this - but have added instead of the soda - a can of crushed pineapple in its own juice.  Nothing else.  Do the same thing as you do for the "Coke Cake" - follow the mixing and baking directions, put it in a greased cake pan and bake.

Tastes good and is a fast fix if you have to have something with little notice for company that is popping in on you.
