Weightlessness??????

hey guyzz ok plzz correct my concept regarding weightlessness im writing it down u point out the mistake and correct it

the example of satellite orbiting the earth is equal to taht of sun and earth.just as the gravitational force of sun on earth provides centripetal force to earth the gravity provides centripetal force to satellite.therefore earth like satellite is constantly in free fall motion and if velocity of earth would not have been very large earth and its inhabitants would be in state of weightlessness.

we feel wt due to gravitational force of attraction . if there s no force of attraction then it is called weightlessness

The weight felt by any body is due to the mass it carries and the value of gravity of the planet over which the body is. The relation is given by:

W = m.g : where the terms have the usual meanings.

Now for any body there would be some mass associated with it. Thus we can get condition of weightlessness only if we somehow get g = 0.

Some planets have very low g value and we feel less weight e.;g on moon surface the g value is one eighth of its value on earth surface and one feels light there. In case of satellites there is the force on these due to gravity but this force is utilized to provide the cicular path to it. Thus the bodies inside the satellite do not get any contribution of gravity and hence would be weightless. Now the speed of the satellite is adjusted according to the radius of its path and it has nothing to do with the condition weightlessness.

We feel weight because of gravitational force on us by the Earth. Even if the Earth's velocity had been much lower, then also the force of gravity would have existed.
