Question:

Weird toad behavior?

We have a wild toad living in a grassy area next to our patio. Every night, she climbs up onto our french doors and tries to jump into our house whenever any one opens one of the doors. She's been around for a couple of years now and has just started this behavior. Is this normal for a wild toad?

  1. Normal? No, but likely it is trying to follow the insects that are attracted to the lights in the house.

I love toads. My dog and I look for them at night when we take our last stroll about the neighborhood. Frogs look handsome in all that green but there's something homely and cute about a toad. They're great for the garden too.
