Wellesley and ACT scores?

Im applying to Wellesley college in the fall and I took teh ACT exam recently and fell one point short of their normal mid-range scores for students who were accepted. Should I consider taking the test again? Just because I am one point underneath their mid-range, does not heavily decrease my chances of getting in?

If it was the first time you'd taken the ACT, then definitely. On average, people's scores increase the second time around as they become more comfortable with the test.

Plus, with the ACT, you need only submit your highest score.

Even if it wasn't your first time taking the ACT, I'd probably take it once more. Wellesley considers many other factors in the admissions process, but these high-profile colleges do care about the numbers game and their scores profile.
