Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has gone on to express his delight with his teams convincing win over Reading, which saw the Gunners win their game by five goals to two.
The Gunners took on Reading last night, following a very disappointing loss to Bradford City in their mid week Capital One Cup game.
Despite that poor display in their last outing, the team went into their game against Reading with a lot to prove. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santi-Cazorla-c32505 scoring the next three. Then right before the end of the match,
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Walcott-c34873 went on to score the team’s fifth and final goal of the match.
As a result of those five goals, the team went on to win by a very convincing margin at the end of the day.
Wenger is quote happy with the performance that his team put in, and he is also delighted by the fact that the squad put in a top notch display, in order to secure a very convincing win.
When talking about the game, Wenger is reported to have said: “The target was to win in a convincing way"

"We focused on playing the game. At 4-0 we had a little wobbling period. And at 4-2, after what happened last week, we became a bit uncertain. We lost a bit of focus and paid for it.”

"But overall it was important to go out and play and give the right answer on the football pitch."

The manager also saved special praise for Theo Walcott, who got to play in his much desired central striker role at the club. Despite him scoring only one goal in the game, he still looked to be in top form during the game.

"In training sessions he has shown the abilities to play in this position - the timing of his movement - and for his first game I think he has done very well. There are very encouraging signs," Wenger added.

"We had pace, that was the target in the build-up to the game and overall we gave them many problems through that.”
