Why should they be?

All the "aliens came from the stars and gave us civilization" theories are based on the assumption that humans are too dumb to pile stone into the shape of a pyramid. Then, they couldn't have done it without help from some advanced alien technology.

Could you prove either one? Both?

We have the marks of the gangs that moved the pyramid stones, pictures of how they did it. We've even recreated building a pyramid and raised an obelisk. All with simple tools. No alien technology much less steam power.

Others have pointed out we've the bodies of many pharaohs and their royal families. No alien DNA there.

Only in the movie Stargate.  Otherwise, no, they were human.

It's unlikely, as many of their births from Queen Mothers are described as occurring by traditional means!

We have some of their corpses preserved as mummies.  Unless the ET is exactly like a modern human, they were modern humans.
