The interstate players in their side proves that they don't have a homegrown policy, I would say that Fremantle will take over the mantle as the best in the West. At least Freo show that they have heart.

Interesting statement.  Footy's not like it used to be I guess, when our Cats used to pick up the Adelaide boys so often we were called "East Adelaide" in the Advertiser.

You've gotta wonder if this is why they don't seem to show that pride any more.  I reckon send the two Selwood boys back to Geelong - I'm happy to help West Coast ease their pain. :-)

Interesting,  Now you have opened a can of worms mate,  you'll have the west aussie's saying 'that is the reason we are going so bad'  too many vics in it, lol.

They are just having a bad trot, had so many  decent footballers out due to injury this year, what can you expect really,  i just hope it last one more week, then they can win every game from then on,  i don't mind the eagles, i don't care really which state teams are from, if they play good footy, it's ok with me, except for the crows, just don't like their arrogance.  Sydney, they play  a shocking brand of footy.

I'm not sure what kind of point you are trying to make - maybe just to have a dig at the Eagles for some odd reason.  

We are called the West Coast Eagles because that is where we are based.   And South Melbourne are called the Sydney Swans because ----- oh, that doesn't follow, does it.

Is there any team that is purely from its state of origin?  I reckon you need to get back to playing with Fozzie and Kermit.

So what Eagles are not a state side they are a WA based AFL side that's is the point of an Australia wide competition.

You could do the same with the dockers. no different. Other clubs are the same also. does it really matter? The young west aussies were taken by vic clubs in the draft before the eagles even had a look in.  So they had to choose the next best, the vic or adelaide boys.
