honestly, do you care? obviously you don't like it and i highly doubt anything i say is going to change your mind. but i need to answer the question, so i'll say that people like nascar for multitudinous reasons - reasons you can't understand if you think "its (sic) only left turns."

and it's not the speed of your typing that matters if your accuracy and grammar are off. "it's only left turns" not "its only left turns." same with "it's called fast typing, thank you" not "its called fast typing thank you."

but thank you for sharing, please drive through...

Well, it's a h**l a lot more exciting than watching golf or as I call it paint drying. If you can't understand why people like NASCAR don't watch it and let the true fans watch it in peace.  As the late W.C. Fields once said "Go away boy, you bother me."

If you think that it's all left turns then you just don't get it. Why do people watch football.. it's a bunch of guys running into each other for more than two hours (Go Steelers) why do people watch the Olympics (congrats to all the medal winning competitors)?

It's about picking a driver (or team) and watching their progress.

Not only that but the drivers do great things off the track. There are literally hundreds of foundations and charities that have been set up by the men and women who only turn left (except at the road courses).

It's the competition.  The rivalries.  The speed.  The drivers and teams you grow to like.  The drivers and teams you grow to hate.  The pitroad mistakes.  The risks that pay off.  The split-second dramatic finishes between 1st and 2nd.  The in-race adjustments that bring your favorite driver's car from a jalopy at the start to a winner at the end.  The camaraderie with other fans at the races.

It's something that you really can't appreciate until you give it a chance and try to watch a few races, preferably with someone else who is already a fan.  Once you're in, you'll probably like it, but everybody has different tastes.

it is obvious you have never had the experience of attending a NASCAR race in person.  I could write for days about the reasons I enjoy the sport, and I am sure none of it would change your mind.  Calling it only left turns shows to me you have not followed the sport or you would know there are two road courses that are on the schedule.  It irritates me when someone who has not have a clue belittles something.  As far as your spelling mistakes using your "fast typing" skills, take a TRUE NASCAR fans advice and put a restrictor plate on it.

Because more strategy goes into auto racing then any other sport out there. I mean why do people like watching basketball, all that is about is a bunch of people running back and forth throwing a ball into a basket. The only way to become a true NASCAR fan is to exprieance a race in person...I wasn't a huge fan of it till I expireanced Talladega back in April...Now I'm hooked...lol...It was more exciting then any football or baseball game I've ever went too..
