What's a Frosh Box Social?

Question

I'm attending my first year at a private Catholic high school, Notre Dame High School, next week. And I read on the calendar that on the 16th, there's a frosh box social at 6 PM. What exactly is a Frosh Box Social, I'm pretty sure it has something to do with freshmen because I've heard the term "Frosh" used to describe them, but I'm not entirely sure what it is.
