  1. A great part of your speech would be to have a computer available to calculate the carbon footprint of some of the audience members.  Some of the best calculators calculate by your actions how many planets you would need to support the amount of carbon you use/your actions

  2. The carbon footprint is a measure of the exclusive global amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases emitted by a human activity. An alternative definition of the carbon footprint is the total amount of carbon dioxide attributable to the actions of an individual (mainly through their energy use) over a period of one year. The term owes its origins to the idea that a footprint is what has been left behind as a result of the individuals activities. It's all a Hoax. "Global Warming" is a psychological operation, a "Psy-ops", to condition the public to believe that we are going to be in a lot of trouble in the near future if we don't take steps "X,Y, & Z", and do it quickly. Those "steps" are what the Illuminati want us to follow so they can further consolidate their control over our lives-and still make a ton of money in the process. In a balanced world, one without weather modification (HAARP), and man made clouds(chem trails), then plants would live off carbon dioxide and in return give off oxygen.  By reducing the carbon dioxide, we are creating a bigger problem for mankind.  Go to www.educate-yourself.org and look at 'global warming'.  There are lots of articles written by very reputable authors. 3. the amount of carbon dioxide released due to a persons actions

  4. The after-effect that you leave on the environment due to your actions...for example, driving a car that blows black smoke from the tailpipe or a much smaller thing but everyone does it...throwing out your trash.

  5. this refers to any activity that you do that required the burning of fossil fuels that produce carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. Because these chemicals create a lasting effect, it is said to be like a footprint.

So the distance it takes you to drive from school to home can be calculated as a different carbon footprint than what will take you from home to the gym.

On a more global scale though, the term usually refers to the shipping and airline industries and the tons of carbons they emit and people driving.

For your speech, you could also look up how they calculate different carbon footprints.

  6. A Carbon Footprint is a measure of the impact human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of greenhouse gases produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide.

A Carbon Footprint is made up of the sum of two parts, the direct / primary footprint and the indirect / secondary footprint.

    1. The primary footprint is a measure of our direct emissions of CO2 from the burning of fossil fuels including domestic energy consumption and transportation (e.g. car and plane).

    2. The secondary footprint is a measure of the indirect CO2 emissions from the whole lifecycle of products we use - those associated with their manufacture and eventual breakdown.

Basically, your household's negative impact on the environment. It is measured by things such as how and how often you travel, how much electricity you use, how much trash you throw away, etc.

  7. when you put your foot down on a sandy surface ,you leave a footprint...that footprint proves  you were there. so with carbon, you do many things in your day to day living that is carbon productive, you drive ,you throw things away, you light fires, and many other things this is your foot print . so to make your footprint smaller ,you drive less, you recycle, you compost instead of burn, lots of things ,the way you vote, anything you can do will make your footprint(evidence you were here)smaller,be remembered for your benefit to mankind ,leave that kind of foot print.....tom

  8. Like when you walk in the woods and leave a footprint, it's the effects you leave behind that stay in the world. Like carbon emissions.

e.g. When I travel by plane, I have greatly increased my carbon footprint. The more footprint, the worse! Nobody wants a giant footprint in the woods. The forest animals will cry.

It can also be talked about in terms of how many planets you use, if everyone lived like you. America has about an average of 6 planets per person. We only have one! Even Zimbabwe is like 1.2 planets per person, on average. The lower, the better. We don't have 6 planets to sustain you! So you really have to change your lifestyle. It's a moral issue...
