it's really depressing how our world is in shambles lately.

when you turn on your tv and you see on the news...

high oil prices, war, dictatorship, world hunger, global warming, financial crisis, health crisis, corruption, children suffering, calamity, killings, undecided weather, abuse, death.

these problems are already here since we were born but,

its getting worse and no one seems to step in and shout

"no more!"

you can't change the channel and watch hannah montana instead i mean...

you can always cover your ears and ignore it, but we all know each one of us has the responsibility as a human to our mother earth.

what's your say?

  1. that's why i don't watch the news anymore.

    and i hate Hannah Montana.

Edit: hey lady, you asked for my say. you just didnt mention that you wanted a detailed answer. i've already accepted the fact that our world is going to shambles, and plenty of people have said 'enough,' but the rest of the world is not on their side. if you can get the nations to get their heads out of their a$$es and make them work together to do something about then, then you've just solved world peace. but i don't see that happening anytime soon. if you ask me, they care about money more than they do anything else. it's always been about money (i.e. wars, poverty, drug wars, economy crisis) even if i don't watch the news, that doesnt mean i don't hear about it everyday. and it definitely means i dont care. everything is just much too overwhelming and frightening. if i don't see it on TV, i always hear about it elsewhere, so i'm not ignorant of it. there's the internet news, right? ;)

Edit2: oh well, sorry if i sounded uncivil. no harm done...^w^

  2. its no worse than it was 50 years ago...

we just know more about whats going on now than back then

  3. It's going to h**l in a hand-basket...

  4. Most of the problems are the result of liberal programs and policies. Researching each and every problem the world suffers that you mentioned you find that it all ultimately will lead back to some liberal folly with the exception of undecided weather and global warming/cooling.. With the power of Al Gore and his following I don't know why they haven't done anything about the weather. He boasted that they could change weather. Besides if you look at weather thruout the years you'll find that we aren't experiencing as many bad things as people before us in earlier times.

  5. I feel exactly the same as you. If its not the middle east or Afghanistan, it's the youth crime and stabbings, or the bloomin credit crunch. It definetly leaves you a bit deflated

  6. Well, why don't YOU step out and say it? If you care so much, you need to find the effort to get into a position where you can change the world. And I don't mean joining the measly crowd of protestors against Iraq on Waterloo Road. I mean something that will work. If you want to change the world so much, stop moaning and DO IT!

  7. fact is:

    it cant be stopped

screaming "no more!!" is not gonna stop it

there are a lot of nutters who will continue to keep all this negativity alive

so truth is it cant be stopped. hurtful but it's true

  8. I listen to NPR. They are less sensationalist than the talking monkeys on the idiot tube. Television is poison.

Stop "watching" news. Stop "watching" Hannah Montana.
